Who We Are
The Little White Schoolhouse is a private tutoring and learning center located in Ankeny, Iowa. Our team of tutors are fully-licensed teachers, all certified in the areas they teach. We believe that every kid is smart and can learn, so we provide personalized instruction to help each student reach their fullest potential.
Megan's Story
After teaching for several years, in 2020, our founder, Megan, slipped on some ice and fell, hitting her head. From this, she sustained a traumatic brain injury. Thanks to a wonderful team of medical professionals, she recovered. However, the fall led to some permanent brain damages, and she could no longer teach in the “typical” classroom. However, she hasn’t let her brain injury stop her and continues to teach the students she cares for so much. It just has to be done differently now. She is still a kind, smart, and strong teacher. That’s why she launched The Little White Schoolhouse. So that students can see her preserving through a brain injury and know that she is also there for them every step of the way. The Little White Schoolhouse is open to serving kids in any way that they need.

Benefits:
Our teachers set their schedules and choose to work with students one-on-one or in small groups. The Little White Schoolhouse schedules all tutoring sessions, completes an initial student assessment, communicates with families, and provides all of the resources our teachers need.

We don’t make the students fit the system, we make a system to fit the students.
